WESTPORT — A celebration of Japanese culture and traditions is planned Saturday on Jesup Green.

The Japanese Fall Festival, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, is sponsored by the Japan Society of Fairfield County. The event is free and open to the public. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 18.

The festival will feature bon odori dance and taiko drumming, as well as martial arts demonstrations, tenugui art and origami crafts, meditation, games and kimonos.
