WESTPORT — A painting by Eric Chiang has been selected for the July guest artist exhibit at the Westport Book Shop.

Chiang’s oil painting, “Moon Light Sonata,” from his Musical Planet series, will be on display through July 31 at the store, 23 Jesup Road.

“Wherever we go in this planet, there is music,” Chiang said in a publicity release for the exhibit. “Most of the time we never hear it, until we deliberately seek to hear it. Human beings have let the visuals dominate their senses, I thus want to present to you visually the music of our planet.”

Chiang’s artwork has been exhibited internationally, including the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, the Queens Museum, MoCA Westport and the Silvermine Guild Gallery. In September 2016, he was given a citation from the New York State Assembly for his artwork about humanity.

Chiang’s artwork also was recently on display at the Westport Library. Information about the artist and his work is available at his website.
