FAIRFIELD – A Native American artist celebrated for his genre-defying musical performances will perform at Fairfield University next week.
Supaman, also known as Christian Takes Gun Parrish, will perform at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11th, at the Quick Center for the Arts. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $10 for Quick Center members, and free for Fairfield University students. They can be purchased at quickcenter.fairfield.edu.
Supaman, a member of the Apsaalooke Nation (Crow), is described as “part hip-hop emcee, part traditional dancer, part activist and spiritual storyteller.” His immersive performances include a blend of contemporary hip-hop, traditional Indigenous instrumental music, storytelling, and chroreography.
The event is part of Fairfield University’s yearlong series of arts and cultural programming, entitled “America250: The Promise and Paradox,” exploring the history of the United States on its 250th anniversary.
