The grants will be distributed to groups in five communities in the 26th state Senate District, according to Ceci Maher, the district’s state senator.
The seven Westport-based organizations to receive grants are:
Fairfield County Chorale, $4,457
Friends of the Levitt Pavilion, $6,470

Music for Youth, $3,383
Suzuki Music School of Westport, $2,877
Westport Community Theatre, $5,792

The money will provide “valuable and vital support for their long-term operations, continuing education and cultural enrichment for countless people,” Maher, a first-term Democrat, said in a statement announcing the grants.
