WESTPORT–Join the Grammy nominated and Emmy-award winning Miró Quartet for a night of storytelling through song this Saturday, July 12 at 7:00 p.m. at MoCA/CT.
The Quartet’s program will bring listeners on a musical world tour, from 1700s London, which inspired a Joseph Haydn quartet, to South America and Paris, which inspired pieces by Ginastera and Ravel, respectively, according to MoCA.
The Miró, based in Austin, finds “new ways to communicate with audiences of all backgrounds while cultivating the longstanding tradition of chamber music.” The quartet has additionally released several solo pieces, such as Here on Earth, a touring and recording project with pianist Lara Downes.
Tickets are priced at $50, with a $10 discount for seniors and students.
