
FAIRFIELD — Fairfield University is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day early, welcoming an acclaimed Riverdance fiddler to the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts.
Eileen Ivers and her ensemble, Universal Roots, will perform at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 1st. Ivers has been a fiddler for more than 40 years, including as a member of Riverdance’s debut show in 1995. She was also a founding member of Cherish the Ladies and toured with artists including Sting, Patti Smith, Al Di Meola, Hall & Oates, and The Chieftains. Ivers’ music has been celebrated for its ability to blend traditional Celtic music with influences including American roots, jazz, and blues.
Tickets for the concert are $35 for general admission, $25 for Quick members, and $5 for Fairfield University students. For more information, click here.
