FAIRFIELD COUNTY — Connecticut residents are invited to explore the cultural venues and other attractions in their region and across the state this weekend, as Connecticut Open House Day returns.

This annual celebration will take place on Saturday, June 13th. It showcases tourism attractions in Connecticut, including museums, arts spaces, farms, restaurants, and more. These sites offer free or discounted admission, behind the scenes tours, and other special events and offers. More than 200 places are taking part this year.

Some participating venues in Fairfield County include:

  • Birdcraft Museum, Fairfield: Free admission
  • c. 1750 Ogden House, Fairfield: Free admission, a living history demonstration, and garden tours at 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Center for Contemporary Printmaking, Norwalk: Scavenger hunt, screenprinting demonstration 1 p.m to 3 p.m. where visitors can bring their own items to print on
  • Fairfield Museum and History Center, Fairfield: Free admission and a drop-in drawing event with a local artist
  • Fairfield Old Academy, Fairfield: Open 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. with free admission
  • Fairfield University Art Museum, Fairfield: Free admission, with all visitors receiving a free pack of museum notecards
  • The Glass House, New Canaan: Tours offered all day, and 10 percent discounts when using the code CTOPENHOUSE2026
  • Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum, Norwalk: Visitors are invited to see the new Revolutionary Roots exhibition
  • Mill Hill Historic Park, Norwalk: Open for free self-guided tours 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Rowayton Arts Center, Norwalk: Visitors are invited to view the Annual Sponsored Awards show
  • The Shack Bait and Tackle, Fairfield: Free ice cream for the first 20 children to visit, with all visitors entered in a raffle to win a $50 gift card
  • Wilton Historical Society, Wilton: Visitors are invited to tour the Wilton Historical Society’s complex of buildings and view current exhibitions
