Scouting Troop 36 information event

Come learn what is means to be a Scout!
Scouting is family, fun, friends and a lifetime of adventure. It’s the place where young people can grow to become their very best future selves. If you have a child in 6-12th grade who likes camping, hiking, outdoor adventures and hands-on life skills, come find out about Troop 36. Founded in 1949, Troop 36 is Westport’s first and only Scouting America Family Troop, welcoming both girls and boys. The Troop typically meets once per week, schedules at least one weekend outing per month (camping, city tour, merit badge courses), and participates in several community service projects throughout the year.
The Troop will be hosting a welcome campfire in the courtyard at Saugatuck Congregational Church, 245 Post Road East, on Monday, August 31st at 7:00 pm for girls and boys in 6-12th grades. Any questions, please contact Scoutmaster, Srikanth Puttagunta at sputtagu79@gmail.com.
