WESTPORT — ”How to enjoy summer in Westport to the max” will be the focus of a Westport Journal gathering at 6 p.m. May 12 at the Cedar Point Yacht Club.
Wine, cheese and a special cocktail will be served.
The event is free but registration is required here.
Summer in Westport is very special. There are so many things for adults and children to do, it is hard to cover them all in a single presentation. It can also be difficult to learn how exactly to do the things you want to do.
Here are some questions about summer fun that keep Westporters up at night:
- What’s a good parking strategy for the summer fireworks?
- Do I need to secure a slip before I buy a boat?
- How does anyone get a tee time at Longshore?
- How do I reserve a tennis court at Longshore?
- Where can I rent a sailboat?
- Where can I play pickleball?
- Is there a ferry from Stamford to Citi Field?
- Is there a train from Westport to Yankee Stadium?
- Which hot new restaurants need reservations?
- Evening activities for the kids?
- Evening activities for the grown-ups?
We’ve assembled a group of experts in Westport activities, who will draw us through the options and the how-tos:
- David McPherson, founder/owner of Sea Kayak Connecticut
- Carmen Roda, operations manager, Town of Westport Parks and Recreation Department
- Massimo Tullio, owner, The Whelk and Massi Co
- Carleigh Welsh, VP and Executive Producer, Levitt Pavilion
The gathering will take place at 6 p.m. May 12 at the Cedar Point Yacht Club, 1 Bluff Point, Westport CT. The event is free to attend but attendees must register beforehand here.
Westport Journal LIVE is underwritten by the KMS Team at Compass.
