Following is the obituary for BETTY ANN JONES, submitted for her family by the Harding Funeral Home.

Betty Ann Jones, 97, of Westport, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Jan. 18, 2025. 

She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., in 1927. Betty Ann lived in Westport for the past 62 years, where she raised her four children with her husband, Howard W. Jones, who predeceased her in 1993.

Betty Ann was a world traveler, avid reader, accomplished golfer and dedicated member of Christ & Holy Trinity Church, where she was a member of the altar guild and served on the vestry. 

She dedicated her life to her family, friends and faith. She was an active member of her community and touched the lives of all who knew her with kindness and compassion.

She is survived by her children, Howard A. Jones and his wife Barbara Smythe Jones, and her daughter Barbara B. Jones, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her two oldest sons, David R. Jones and Evan T. Jones.

A memorial service to remember Betty Ann will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m., at Christ & Holy Trinity Church in Westport.
