WESTPORT — An exhibit by artist Joe Kazer, whose pseudonym is “Gnar Giant,” will open with an Oct. 17 reception at 139 Post Road East.

The pop-up display, featuring the artist’s latest wood panel acrylic paintings and more, will be on view Oct. 18-Nov. 10, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. The artist’s style “features vibrant colors, intricate cross-hatching, and his illustrations are consistently abstract and cartoonish,” according to a publicity release.

The opening reception is set for 4-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, and will feature a Gnar Giant video game, black light exhibit, giveways and merchandise.
