WESTPORT — The Staples High girls soccer team won its fifth straight game this week following its first loss of the season. 

The Wreckers won a pair of road tilts this past week, edging the Trumbull Eagles 2-1 last Thursday, and clobbering the Danbury Hatters 7-2 on Monday. 

The Wreckers improved to 11-1-2 for the season.

In the road win over Trumbull, Annabel Edwards scored twice and Talia Moskowitz tallied a pair of assists.

On the road again in Danbury, Natalie Chudowsky scored three times and Evelyn Chudowsky scored twice. Annabel Edwards and Neva Mermegan also hit the back of the net.

Mermegan recorded three assists, Natalie Chudowsky had two, and Edwards and Evelyn Chudowsky each had an assist.
