WESTPORT — It was a thrilling Senior Day for Staples High’s field hockey team.

A senior hat-trick of sorts crowned the Wednesday match, with a trio of final-year Wreckers scoring, including Indie Ahl with her first varsity cage-finder as the Wreckers defeated visiting Norwalk, 6-1.

All nine field hockey seniors started the game, with seniors Adela Ardrey and Caroline Roschen also scoring.

Staples senior Caroline Roschen (in blue), competing against Trumbull defenders earlier this season, scored during the Wreckers’ 6-1 win over Norwalk on Wednesday.

Tyla Ozgen, Emma Larit and Sofia Fidalgo added goals. Senior Charlotte Strange had two assists and Emma Larit, Leah Larit, Ozgen and Fidalgo added assists.

Other starting seniors in on the game action were Caroline Cooper, Kathryn Asiel, Julia Fabian, Lindsey Price and Maya Sherman.

The Wreckers get back at it Thursday, Oct. 12, when Danbury visits at 4 p.m.  (Game schedules are subject to change; click for the latest CIAC updates.)
