WESTPORT–The Wreckers Girls Soccer season got underway Thursday afternoon at home against Ridgefield. The game ended in a 2-2 draw.

The Wreckers first scoring play began with Maddie Sansone’s corner kick, which bounced off the Ridgefield goalie toward Sami Dewiit, who booted the ball past the goalie into the Ridgefield goal.

Maddie Sansone also started the Wreckers second scoring play. Her corner kick was headed by a Ridgefield defender toward Coco Crombie, who then headed the ball into the Ridgefield goal.
