WESTPORT — Coats will be collected Nov. 10 at the Westport Farmers Market for donation to Liberation Programs in Stamford.

Donations of new and gently worn coats will be collected during the market’s hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at 50 Imperial Ave.

Liberation Programs will distribute the donated coats to its clients.

The agency focuses on helping people with behavioral health issues, “specializing in treatment for all types of substance use disorders,” according to a press statement. In addition to Stamford, Liberation Programs has sites in Norwalk, Greenwich and Bridgeport, which served more than 2,000 people in the last fiscal year.

The coat collection is featured at the market’s last Thursday for the season at the Imperial Avenue parking lot. The following Thursday, Nov. 17, the market opens at its winter quarters at Gilbertie’s Herb Gardens, 7 Sylvan Lane.
