WESTPORT — Jazz will fill the evening air Friday, Aug. 20, at MoCA, 19 Newtown Turnpike.

The outdoor concert is set for 7 p.m. and tickets cost $20. Refreshments will be available from Joe’s Food Truck and Bar MoCA. Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs. (Rain date is 7 p.m. Aug. 21.)

The featured performer will be vocalist Samara Joy, a “Jazz at Lincoln Center Emerging Spotlight” artist. Joy has performed in noted New York City jazz venues, including Dizzy’s Club and the Blue Note, and with Christian McBride, Kirk Lightsey and Cyrus Chestnut.

Joy won the 2019 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, and recently released her debut recording, backed by the Pasquale Grasso Trio.
