WESTPORT–The Building Department last month issued a permit to demolish the structure at 17 Old Orchard Road.
The 1 ¼-story cape was erected in 1948. It has 1,600-square-feet of living space, an unfinished basement, a stone patio, a screen porch, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a finished attic and a detached garage.
The property traded hands in 2008 for $650,000. It had previously traded for $200,000 in 2000. The property’s current assessment is $493,500.
