Top-10 municipal earnings list for 2021

WESTPORT — A corporal with the Westport Police Department led all town employees in earnings in 2021, for a total of $277,189, according to a top-10 list released by Gary Conrad, finance director.

Conrad himself made the number 10 spot on the list for total earnings, though he holds the highest salary among all town employees at $190,585.

All other nine positions were held by police and fire personnel, some of whose salaries and additional earnings were further supplemented by outside vendor contracted work that is not paid for by the town.

Along with a base salary of $94,769, Police Corporal Howard Simpson took home $124,337 in overtime and other town-paid earning, totaling $219,106, along with $58,083 in outside duty payments, for a top total of $277,189.

Police Sergeant David Librandi was second, with $268,280 in total earnings, including $112,299 in outside vendor payments.

Police Officer Anthony Falbo was third, with $235,652 in total earnings, including $119,202 in outside vendor payments.

Assistant Fire Chief Matthew Cohen was number four with a total earnings of $228,782.

Police Lieutenant Anthony Prezioso had $224,299 in total earnings, including $73,244 in outside vendor payments.

Police Sergeant Sereniti Dobson had $220,057 in total earnings, including $55,945 in outside vendor payments.

Police Officer Samuel Sabin had $205,039 in total earnings, including $37,148 in outside vendor payments.

Firefighter Matthew Wille had $199,709 in total earnings, including $2,628 in outside vendor payments.

Deputy Police Chief Ryan Paulsson had $193,381 in total earnings, including $16,635 in outside vendor payments.
