WESTPORT–Lucky Brand, a denim and vintage clothing store on Main Street in Westport that opened in June, is holding its first “Mic Drop Open Mic Night” featuring musician Greg Banks on Sept. 25.

The event, which is free to attend, takes place from 4 to 6 p.m. at the 125 Main St. store, and Banks’ performance will start at 5 p.m. Free drinks will be available.

Attendees can also shop Lucky Brand’s “Mic Drop Merch Shop,” which includes band tee-shirts, denim and leather jackets.

Banks, a singer, songwriter and guitarist, was born and raised in New Orleans and is now based in Brooklyn, N.Y.

A Lucky Brand spokesperson described Banks’ musical style in an e-mail as a “blend of soul, funk and R&B” and said he’s known for “Concert on the Block,” a live street-performance series.

The spokesperson added, “His soulful sound and community-driven approach to live music make him a natural fit for Lucky Brand’s longstanding connection to music and self-expression.”

Additional Mic Drop Open Mic Nights may be held in the Westport store in the future, Ceesay said.

On Oct. 3, Chainsmoke NYC, a custom chain stitch embroiderer, will be at Lucky Brand from noon to 4 p.m. to offer free personalization on denim purchased at Lucky Brand.

Lucky Brand has four stores in Connecticut. Other stores are in Clinton, Danbury and Ledyard.
