NORWALK — The Norwalk Oyster Festival, a longstanding tradition that has helped preserve a historic Connecticut lighthouse, is just around the corner.

The festival will run from Friday, Sept. 11th to Sunday, Sept. 13th at Veteran’s Memorial Park. Hours are 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Sept. 11th, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sept. 12th, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 13th.

In addition to oysters fresh from the boat, the Norwalk Oyster Festival features a wide array of food options including lobster rolls and international fare. Guests can also enjoy carnival rides, family entertainment, a craft fair, the Ready Go Dog Show, and the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show.

The Norwalk Oyster Festival is again bringing back the Mohegan Sun Online Casino VIP Lounge, which offers additional perks to festivalgoers. The Xfinity Main Stage will also be providing live music on each evening of the festival.

The festival, hosted by the Norwalk Seaport Association, is the largest annual fundraiser supporting the ongoing preservation and restoration of the Sheffield Island Lighthouse. For more information, click here.
