WESTON — An event combining family-friendly entertainment and environmental awareness is scheduled for this weekend.

ECOFEST will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 3rd, at Lachat Town Farm. Described as Weston’s “biggest green celebration of the year,” the event will feature local vendors and community partners showcasing sustainable products and initiatives, including Energize CT, Christine’s Critters, the Wolf Conservation Center, and the Housatonic Recovery Authority.

Visitors are encouraged to bring in redeemable bottles and cans, which help fund the event. Every 25 containers enters a donor in a raffle with a $250 prize.

Other ECOFEST features include live performances by student musicians, a book drive, interactive talks and demonstrations on sustainability topics, and family games, crafts, and activities.
