Stefanina (Stefana) Carusone, 78, of Westport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 5, 2025. Born in Formicola, Italy, Stefana loved beyond measure. She touched countless lives with her warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family.

She married Fausto Carusone on March 29, 1969.  Together they raised three sons: Salvatore, Fausto Jr., and Steven. She was a loving mother-in-law to Sarah, Rachel, and Athena, and a proud Nonna to five grandchildren: Madeline, Eugenio (Gino), Lia, Isa, and Christian. Stefana found immense joy in being a Nonna, forming close bonds with each grandchild and spoiling them with affection.

A seamstress by trade, Stefana worked at Pepperidge Farm for 20 years. She was known for her delicious home-cooked meals, which she fed to all who walked into her home,  and for her beautiful, crocheted blankets, hats, and scarfs.

Stefana will be remembered for her kindness, strength, amazing sense of humor, and the love she gave so freely.

Friends are invited to attend a funeral on Wednesday November 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM meeting directly at Assumption Church 98 Riverside Ave. Westport, CT for a mass of Christian burial, entombment will follow in Willowbrook Cemetery 395 Main St. Westport, CT. 

The family will receive friends in the Harding Funeral Home 210 Post Rd. E., Westport, CT on Tuesday November 11, 2025 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Melanoma Research Foundation on line at www.melanoma.org in her memory.
