Following is the obituary for JEFFREY JOSEPH ROBERTS, submitted for the family by the Harding Funeral Home.

Jeffrey Joseph Roberts, 37, passed away May 8, 2024, at Norwalk Hospital. 

He was born May 17, 1986, in Bridgeport. Jeff was a 2004 graduate of Fairfield Warde High School, and a 2007 graduate of Gibbs College with an associate’s degree in applied science. 

He previously worked for Eastern Mountain Sports and Medi-Fleet. He most recently was a devoted caretaker for his mother. 

Jeff loved music, horror movies and playing baseball. He was an avid Yankees and WWE fan. Throughout his youth, he was an active member of his church achieving the role of subdeacon. 

Growing up his character was unmatched. Known to all as a jokester, he could bring a smile to anyone’s face. Jeff was always happy to help anyone in need. 

He is survived by his mother, Patricia (Sargent) Roberts; two cousins, Melanie Austin and Monica Rackliffe and her two children whom he was a beloved uncle to. 

Jeffrey was predeceased by his father, Keith Roberts, in 2018. 

Family, friends, and others whose lives Jeffrey touched are invited to Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East, on Thursday May 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. to reminisce and celebrate Jeffrey’s life.

In the words of Jimmy Eat World, “May angels lead you in. Hear you me, my friends. On sleepless roads, the sleepless go. May angels lead you in.” In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA.
