Frances Mae Manere, 85, wife of the late Robert Manere, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Weston.

Frances was born in Norwalk on Dec. 18, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Buchta. She was an amazing cook and baker. She also enjoyed traveling the world with her late husband, Robert. 

Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include three sons, Robert Manere and his wife Robyn of Bethel, Michael Manere and his wife Lisa of Hudson, Mass., and Brian Manere of Weston; a brother, James Buchta and his wife Connie of Norwalk; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Buchta of Norwalk; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Frances was pre-deceased by a brother, Jack Buchta.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral on Monday, July 31, meeting directly at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 35 Norfield Road, Weston, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, 73 Greens Farms Road.
