WESTPORT — A giant rainbow glistened over the local waterfront Wednesday evening in the aftermath of a blustery rain storm.
Just short of a half-inch of much-needed rain fell in the Westport area.
The storm blew away humidity that had settled over the region the last few days, with the prospect of mostly sunny skies Thursday, according to the National Weather Service forecast.
High temperatures are expected to register in the upper 70s.
More rain is forecast, however, for later Friday and Saturday, according to the NWS.
