WESTPORT — Eight “Students of the Month” have been named for March at Staples High School.

They are: seniors Matthew Saw and Shanti Wimmer, juniors Isabella Rivel and Juan Nieves, sophomores Lily Hultgren and Aiden Zer, and freshmen Charlie Curran and Peter Cordts.

The honorees, nominated by teachers, help make the high school “a welcoming place for their peers and teachers alike,” according to the Staples announcement.

They also are “all-around good citizens” of the school, recognized for “the positive attitude they bring to school every day in making Staples High School a genial place in which to learn and teach.”
