WESTPORT — Eight “Students of the Month” have been named for February at Staples High School.

They are: seniors Chelsey Oliva and Michael Belpedio, juniors Zachary Pardon and Anna Berrod Cassimatis, sophomores Landon Alswanger and Claire Harris, and freshmen Ari Sklar and Makayla Hein.

The students, nominated by teachers, are selected for helping to make the high school “a welcoming place for their peers and teachers alike,” according the announcement.

The citation recognizes the recipients as “all-around good citizens” at Staples, and credits “the positive attitude they bring to school every day in making Staples High School a genial place in which to learn and teach.”
