WESTPORT — The Westport Library announced Monday night that it was indefinitely postponing this Wednesday’s scheduled “Booked for the Evening” event, which was set to honor TV producer and writer Shonda Rhimes.

“Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control the 23rd “Booked for the Evening” honoring Shonda Rhimes, scheduled for Wednesday, June 1st, has been postponed,” Nancy Klein, chief development & marketing communications officer, said in an email.

“We will notify you as soon as possible with the rescheduled date,” she said. “We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and are deeply grateful for your support.”
