Fireworks over Compo Beach

WESTPORT — It’s in the works — the annual sky show of fireworks that traditionally highlights the town’s Fourth of July holiday with a blast.

This year’s fireworks show, which benefits the Westport Police Athletic League, is scheduled at about 9 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at Compo Beach. Rain date is June 30. The event will be produced by the Grucci masters of pyrotechnical displays.

Tickets cost $50 per vehicle, and are required to enter Compo, according to event organizers.

Available on a first-come, first-served bases, the tickets sell out quickly. They can be purchased — cash or check only — at Police Department headquarters, 50 Jesup Road, or the Parks and Recreation Department office in Longshore Club Park, 260 Compo Road South.
