WESTPORT — With the Tree Board giving away native tree saplings, and the Westport Book Shop offers some activities in and out of doors, families had a mini Earth Day celebration on Jesup Green Saturday morning.

“It’s much more than we expected,” shop manager Katherine Caro said of the turnout, “so we’re really excited.”

Along with story time inside, visitors got to enjoy some treats and a bubble extravaganza from volunteer Deni Xhafa.
