WESTPORT — “Remember and Honor” has been selected as this year’s theme for floats in the town’s Memorial Day parade.

The parade, which steps off at 9 a.m. Monday, May 26, will follow the traditional route up Riverside Avenue, crossing the Saugatuck River and through downtown.

Floats in the parade, reflecting this year’s theme, will be considered for certificates awarded in the following categories:

Best Overall Float, Best Development of Theme, Best Youth Organization, Most Creative, Best Community Organization and Most Colorful.
