SOUTHPORT — In a first of its kind event, the Pequot Library is inviting people to connect with the broader community through a shared meal.

The Community Feast will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29th on the Pequot Library’s Great Lawn. The event is free to attend, and guests can reserve up to five seats when registering.

The Pequot Library is inviting people to bring a favorite dish and to enjoy “an afternoon of connection, celebration, and shared joy.” Tables and chairs are provided.

The Community Feast is being presented in collaboration with several local organizations, including Trinity Church Southport, Southport Congregational Church, Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, The Southport School, Southport Fire Department, Trinity Spiritual Center, Fairfield Women’s Exchange, Pequot Runners, The Sasquanaug Conservancy for Southport, and the Southport Nonprofit Roundtable.
