WESTPORT–Westporters are invited to help shape the future of Westport’s parks by attending the second public workshop as part of the Parks Master Plan process.
The workshop will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, in the Komansky Room at The Westport Library, 20 Jesup Road.
The Parks and Rec Commission got a sneak peek at the plan earlier in the month.
“These public forums are a vital step in ensuring public feedback as the town develops its Parks Master Plan,” said Parks and Recreation Director Erik Barbieri. “Please join us and share your thoughts as we plan the future of our incredibly important Westport parks system.”
The town’s consultant, BL Companies, will lead the session, which will provide residents with the opportunity to share feedback and learn more about the planning process, the town’s announcement said.
Westport has engaged BL Companies and Sports Facilities Companies to conduct a feasibility study for the development of a 10-year Parks Master Plan within the community. The aim is to evaluate “various sites with the primary goal of enhancing and expanding the existing amenities to better serve residents,” according to the Parks and Recreation Department website.

It really is straight forward. If you have lived in Westport for any number of decades you know the grass needs to be cut, garbage removed and beach stickers issued. Beware of complicated narratives involving parks and rec. works shop should be called do your job
