WESTPORT–The Parks and Recreation Department released a notice alerting readers that the Compo playground will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, July 22.

Safety first

The department explains that, as a newly renovated playground, the inspection is part of a routine post-construction review to ensure everything remains in excellent condition and is safe for continued use. “Safety is always our top priority,” the department wrote.

The department encourages families to visit one of their other playgrounds at:

  • Longshore Club Park (next to the pool)
  • Luciano Park in Saugatuck
  • Town Hall
