WESTPORT — They painted the town spooky … kooky … and bootifully.

Young artists transformed windows at more than 40 local stores and businesses, painting scenes of the Halloween season last Saturday. About 50 children participated in the annual contest organized by the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce, which on Wednesday announced the winners. They include:

Elementary school

Contest winners received a gift certificate donated by Momu ice cream shop.

“This was really a creative contest,” Matthew Mandell, the chamber executive director, said in a statement announcing the winners.

”Everyone was just so happy, from the kids to the parents they really enjoyed the event. A big shout out to all the businesses that answered the call for windows.”
