WESTPORT — High and middle school students looking for jobs this spring and summer are eligible to sign up for a local program matching them with older adults who need help with yard work.

The program, “We Do Walkways,” is managed by the town’s Department of Human Services.

Adults are “encouraged” to pay the youth workers $15 an hour, according to the DHS announcement, for chores limited to the outdoors.

Students interested in enrolling in the program should complete an enrollment form online.

Adults who want to hire students should email humansrv@westportct.gov.

For additional information or questions about the program, call the Department of Human Services at 203-341-1050.
