Lifeguard chair – Image Gemini

WESTPORT–Michael Giunta, the Operations Superintendent of the Parks and Recreation Department has announced that lifeguards will no longer be on duty at Burying Hill Beach.  As the beach will remain open, swimmers are advised to use caution and swim at their own risk. Giunta also notes:

  • Beach emblems are required at Burying Hill Beach through Labor Day, Sept. 7.
  • Compo Beach lifeguards will be on their 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. schedule through Sept. 7. 
  • Beach Emblems are required at Compo Beach through Sept. 30.
