
WESTPORT — The Westport Woman’s Club’s 2022 Community Service Grants have been awarded to 29 recipients, totaling $39,000 in value.
This year’s grant recipients, according to an announcement from the club, “serve a variety of social needs including homelessness, family crises and food insecurity.”
The grants reflect the club’s mission, which since its founding in 1907, has been dedicated to volunteerism and raising money to support “educational, charitable, cultural and public health services in Westport and surrounding towns.”
WWC Community Service Grants this year have been awarded to:
Bridgeport Caribe Youth Leaders, Bridgeport Rescue Mission, Burroughs Community Center, Caroline House, Center for Family Justice, and Child Advocates of Southwestern Connecticut.
Circle of Care for Families of Children with Cancer, Circle of Friends, Clasp Homes, Domestic Violence Crisis Center, ElderHouse, Family & Children’s Agency, and Food Rescue U.S.
Help for Kids, Homes with Hope, Human Services Council/Children’s Connection, Malta House, Person-to-Person, Positive Directions, and REACH Youth Program at Bridgeport Hospital.
Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, St. Catherine Center for Special Needs, Sweet P Bakery, The Rowan Center.
Town of Westport’s Department of Human Services/Family Programs, Town of Westport’s Department of Human Services/Elderly Services, Westport Community Theatre, Women’s Mentoring Network, and the VFW.
