WESTPORT–On Sunday Nov. 1, the First Folk Sunday concert series will feature Paul Simon songs.

Suzanne Sheridan’s voice will be joined by Bob Cooper on keyboards, Stuart Woods on bass and Howard Kesten on cajón. Melissa Capezio will harmonize with Sheridan.

The concert is expected to feature iconic Simon songs such as “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “The Sound of Silence,” “Slip Sliding Away,” “Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover,” “The Boxer,” “Still Crazy After All These Years,” and others.

According to the release, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel lived just a few blocks apart in the Kew Gardens area of Queens. In 1953, they both appeared in PS 163’s sixth-grade adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, launching a legendary musical partnership.

The First Folk Sunday series has covered many folk music songwriters such as Woody Guthrie, John Prine, John Denver, Cheryl Wheeler, and Peter Paul and Mary.

Tickets are priced at $20 and can be purchased here. For more information call Rozanne Gates at 203-984-7562.
