
Michael J. Nappa III, 75, of Milford, CT passed away on June 26th, 2025.
Michael is survived by his sister Marion L. Nappa of Westport, CT and his brother Robert J. Nappa and his wife Linda of Wilton, CT. He is predeceased by his father Michael J. Nappa Jr., his mother Anna T. Nappa, and his sister Barbara DeMattia. He was a proud uncle to Linda DeMattia, Diana DeMattia, Katherine Nappa, and Robert Nappa Jr. and a great uncle to Daniel Landan, Emma Parnes, and Louis Parnes.
Michael was born on January 8, 1950 to Michael J. Nappa, Jr. and Anna T. Nappa of Westport. He helped run the family business, Nappa Sales, with his father Michael and brother Robert from 1971 – 1981. After the passing of their father Michael in 1981, Michael and Robert continued to run the family business until they closed their doors in 2018. They also managed 15 apartments behind the storefront on Main Street, which served the low-income community and had many tenants over the years, some keeping in touch even after parting ways.
Michael was an avid movie watcher and was always recommending films and TV series to friends and family about what to watch next. He also rescued and took in many cats through the years and would nurse them back to health. Michael will be remembered for his loving and warm personality, always wanting to help others, and for his love of animals. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and dear neighbors.
The family will receive friends in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East, Westport, on Thursday July 10, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 73 Greens Farms Road, Westport, at 11:15 AM.
