WESTPORT — Voters registered with one political party have until Jan. 2 to change their affiliation to another party if they want to cast a ballot in that party’s presidential primary next spring.

Connecticut has advanced the date for the 2024 Democratic and Republican presidential primaries by roughly a month from previous years, with balloting scheduled on April 2.

A voter changing their registration from one political party to another must do so by Tuesday, Jan. 2, to be eligible to participate in their new party’s presidential primary, according to the town’s Registrars of Voters. The registrars’ office is located in Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave.

For questions, call the Registrars of Voters Office: Deborah Greenberg, the Democratic registrar, can be reached at 203-341-1116, and Maria Signore, the Republican registrar, is at 203-341-1117.
