WESTPORT — Past participants in the Staples High School Orphenians are invited to join the current group this Thursday for an hour of caroling downtown.
“Last year was a bust due to COVID,” said Director Luke Rosenberg, noting that the joint event started in 2018.
“It’s a special event because it’s an opportunity to keep the legacy of being an Orphenian alive and well — a reason to come together and do what it is that brought us all together in the first place,” said Rosenberg, who has served as Staples’ choral director for 10 years.
He said he hopes to get at least 50 alumni participating alongside the 43 current members.
“I’ve been reaching out primarily through social media,” he said.
People are asked to meet by the Starbucks in back of Parker-Harding Plaza, by the bridge, for a 6:30 p.m. start time.
