WESTPORT — After suffering their first loss of the season last week, the Staples girls tennis team rebounded with two consecutive victories this week.

The Wreckers’s setback came at the hands of visiting Greenwich, 6-1, on April 24, but they bounced back against visiting Wilton on Monday and host Fairfield Warde on Tuesday, prevailing 6-1 both in both matches.

The Staples girls aim to stick with winning ways in four matches scheduled in as many days next week — visiting Fairfield Ludlowe on Monday, hosting Trumbull the next day, heading to Bridgeport on Wednesday and returning home to face Danbury on Thursday. All of the matches start at 4 p.m. (Game schedules are subject to change; click for the latest CIAC updates.)
