WESTPORT — Weekend transit service to Westport’s busy downtown on two holiday shopping weekends will be available via Wheels2U shuttle buses.

The on-demand service, which provides weekday rides to and from the town’s railroad stations, is offering rides Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 14-15 and Dec. 21-22, from anywhere in town to downtown.

Rides can be booked, via the Wheels2U app, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on any of the four weekend days. Riders, who can be picked up anywhere in Westport, will be dropped off at Jesup Green, opposite from the Westport Book Shop, and on Elm Street, across from the Serena & Lily store.

One-way fares on the shuttles cost $2. Children 12 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
