WESTPORT — The Westport Woman’s Club is accepting applications, through Jan. 31, from community nonprofits seeking support from its Community Service Grants program.
More information about the club’s grants program and the application form can be found by clicking here.
Grants are given to nonprofit organizations in Fairfield County for projects that “make a continuing difference in the community. They may be in the form of funds or a one-time use of the Westport Woman’s Clubhouse for an event,” according to the clubs’s announcement.
Funds are allocated to groups with missions in the fields of education, health and safety, and the arts.
In 2022, the Westport Woman’s Club awarded 29 Community Service Grants totaling $39,000. Grant recipients address social needs such as homelessness, family crises and food insecurity.
Applications must be typed and mailed by Jan. 31, 2024, to: Westport Woman’s Club, c/o Community Service Grant Committee, 44 Imperial Ave., Westport, CT 06880.
Because of the volume of applications, the club does not accept them by email. Organizations selected to receive a grant are expected to list the Westport Woman’s Club as a sponsor or donor, according to club officials.
