WESTPORT–Experts will gather at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4 at the Westport Library to share their excitement about Westport’s fall 2025 culture events that readers will not want to miss. Register here.
Westport’s proximity to New York City attracts culturally aware people from around the world. But Westporters can enjoy a wide range of sublime cultural experiences here and in the surrounding towns. That’s what will be discussed by

- Drama: Mark Shanahan, artistic director at the Westport Country Playhouse
- Fine Art: Carey Mack Weber, executive director at Fairfield University Art Museum
- Literature: Heller McAlpin, book reviewer at the New York Times
- Cinema/television: Susan Granger, Westport Journal Film Critic
- Performing Arts: Lori N. Jones, director of programming at Fairfield University Quick Center for the Arts
The publisher of Westport Journal, Doug Weber, will moderate the panel and will serve wine and cheese.
